St James Dover
The Dover St James regeneration was delivered by Bond City, a subsidiary of Stonehurst Estates in partnership with Dover Council. It involved the regeneration of Dover town centre with the creation of a large retail and leisure park. The scheme has vastly enhanced the area and provide many new employment opportunities. The site has a boundary formed by Castle Street, Woolcombe Street and Townwall Street. The development incorporated a new Travelodge hotel, over 100,000 Square foot of retail and leisure space and a 450 space surface car park . The entire area has been pedestrianised, a public square created, and extensive landscaping and other improvements to the public realm have been made. Building dimensions, materials and layouts were chosen to compliment and enhance the surrounding area.
